As community activists and town councillors, we have been trying to engage and collaborate with Conservative councillors at HDC for four years to support the infrastructure projects in our town, and to insist that local residents’ voices are heard.
Have you ever wondered why people get into local politics? I sometimes ask myself that question. But for me, it was because I believe people deserve to feel connected to others in their neighbourhood, to feel that they belong, that they feel safe.
The £12.8m investment in our town is a one-in-a-generation opportunity to redefine what St Neots stands for. With a focus on connecting people, we can unlock its full potential and put the spark back into our town.
The East West Rail consultation closed in June 2021. This railway will have a big impact (potentially good and bad) on St Neots and Love’s Farm in particular, so please make your views known.
